Italy’s Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) has ordered Internet service providers to block access to 293 additional unauthorized gambling websites, reinforcing its crackdown on illegal online gaming. Among the newly blocked domains is Polymarket.com, which has once again been added to Italy’s blacklist despite previously obtaining a favorable ruling before the Regional Administrative Court (TAR).
The measure, issued under Article 102 of Decree-Law No. 104/2020, requires ISPs to complete the blocking process by July 27, 2026. ADM also ordered the restoration of access to one previously blocked website, gamblizard.com.
ADM maintains that Polymarket lacks the licenses required to operate in the Italian market and therefore remains subject to blocking. The decision comes as prediction markets continue to attract regulatory scrutiny worldwide, with Polymarket also at the center of ongoing legal and regulatory debates in the United States.
